Mechanical Test Technician

Description:

The Test Technician is responsible for testing the valves. The Technician conducts Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) as outlined by the document and assures compliance per the specification, interpreting, and recording the results. The Technician will exercise due care to ensure part integrity, prevent damage, and be attentive to the physical conditions and generated readings that appear during the tests as to assess the valves.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct valve testing per the ATP and other documents provided.
  • Document testing results per internal procedures.
  • Exercise required care when testing and handling parts.
  • Be attentive to their work and workspace to see, notify, and/or prevent UVC.
  • Operate the testing stands as required by provided specifications and interpret results

Requirements

  • A background check and drug screen are contingent upon hiring
  • Must be comfortable with repetitive and sustained motions i.e. standing, lifting, and operation of cranks, switches, etc.
  • Is manually dexterous and works well with small hand-held parts.
  • Can understand Engineering blueprints, work instructions, and other relevant documents.
  • Have basic computer literacy such as data entry, point-and-click actions, etc.
  • Be detail-oriented
  • Able to work individually and in team settings as required.
